Recipe Courtesy of Paula DeenServings: 36 squares
Prep Time: 10 min
Cook Time: Allow 15-20 minutes to cool in refrigerator
Difficulty: Easy
1/2 lb sliced easy-melt cheese (recommended: Velveeta)
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts
2 (16 ounce) boxes confectioners’ sugar
Lightly spray the bottom of a 9 by 2-inch square pan with nonstick cooking spray. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt cheese and butter together, then add peanut butter and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts.
Empty confectioners’ sugar into a large bowl and pour cheese mixture over sugar. Stir until completely mixed. Candy will be very stiff.
Using your hands, remove candy from the bowl and press evenly and firmly into the pan. Because of the amount of butter in this recipe, pat top of candy with a paper towel to remove excess oil. Place the pan in refrigerator until candy is firm.
To serve, cut into squares.

Paula I just love your southern cooking shows!! My favorite are the ones where you include your family. It reminds me of the times I spent cooking with my grandma when I was a child. I have a question concerning the Chocolate Eclair Cake you made on today's program. Can I use vanilla wafers instead of the graham crackers? Take care Paula and give that precious Jack a hug for me. He needs to be on your program more often. He is just beautiful!!! "Thanks" Rita

Awesome fudge!!! My daughter & I made it last night. I was wondering if there are any other variations (flavors) of this recipe. I would love to add this recipe to our collection of annual Christmas Recipes to make but would like to make several different flavors of fudge.

I give this recipe a huge "D" for Deelish! Saw Paula's program last nite and had to try this and make for my wife. We both love peanut butter! This was even easier that it looked and turned out great! I was skeptical about the velveeta cheese in it...but wow! It is wonderful. Try it and you won't be disappointed! THANK YOU Paula!
