I've made play dough similar to this one before and I've added a little kool aid to give it a sent. Grape is my favorite.

No cream of tartar in the recipe? Thought it was needed for the dough to stay soft. You can also add flavoring (orange, lemon, vanilla ).

Paula - I've read your books, I love your show. I love what a close, tight-knit relationship you have with your boys. You are my hero! I have found a lot of similarities with your story. I love to cook, I'm addicted to the food network, cooking channel, etc. I've had my own coffee shop where I baked, cooked and always got great feedback. Unfortunately, the brick and mortar business didn't provide any income and I was missing a lot of time with my 7 and 10 yr old kids. After 3 years I had to let it go. I would like any suggestions on starting a personal chef / catering business in my area. The demographic here in Northern Arkansas is not the best........population of 12,000 , lots of retirees, etc. However, I was thinking some of those retirees/elderly might like having someone come into their homes and cook 3 or 4 meals / week for them? What do you think about that niche and how to best go about it with geurilla style marketing? Thanks and Love! Missy

As a preschool teacher I have tried a lot of play dough recipes and this one is not good. It hurts me to say it because I love Paula's recipes, but this one missed the mark! It was too dry, I added extra water, still didnt help added extra oil and still crumbling apart. I will go back to making my old one.
