Cook Time: 12 min
Difficulty: Easy
1 can apple pie filling
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sour cream
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
pinch of nutmeg
1 pinch salt
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar for dusting

In a small saucepan over low heat, stir together apple pie filling and cinnamon. Heat through.

I think this recipe is the greatest. Especially with the apples. I cannot wait to try it. I saw it on your show.

Paula, I love using your recipes. I have been printing them off and trying them. I have so many of them now that I had to buy another recipe box. However, I was unable to find on your page the option to print to cards. That was a great idea and it really helped when I would cut them to fit on my cards. Can you please start using that again. If it is still there somewhere, can you direct me to the correct sight to find it. My mother and I watch your show every day. We especially like it when your sons are on. Thank you for all the great recipes, because cooking is one of my favorite things to do. I try a new recipe every night so my husband never knows for sure what he is going to be eating. Thank you again. Sharon Steinman

Where in the world is the world is the baking powder in this recipe? I really cannot believe that it was left out. Try using self rising flour or adding baking powder if you want it to rise. I can't believe such an important ingredient has been left out of this recipe.

i read a lot of the reviews before making this recipe and decided to use pre-made pancake mix instead of the homemade. it worked very well and everyone loved the special breakfast. i'm sure i'll be asked for this one again soon!

This was absolutely awful. I was very surprised considering it is Paula's recipe. The bread portion was inedible. I wonder if a pancake mix using the same idea would work. I made this for the first time for extended family and was embarrassed!

Topping more custard like than pancake. Wonder if box pancake mix would work.

I use fresh apples and butter and get my skillet very hot before pouring in the flour mixture. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when it is done. Fantastic!!!

Should we use self rising flour?

this was awful...it would have been better if the topping was more like a pancake, and less like a thick layer of egg
