A manly take on the traditional ‘pigs in a blanket’ recipe.  This hearty version will be a big hit at your next tailgater.

Servings: 4-6 servings
Prep Time: 5 min
Cook Time: 20 min
Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients Add to grocery list

1   egg
2   sheets puff pastry, thawed and lightly rolled out
1   package Polska Kielbasa
honey mustard, barbeque sauce or apricot jam, for serving, optional

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Cut kielbasa into 6 (4-inch) pieces. Cut puff pastry sheets into thirds (6 strips). Roll each piece of kielbasa in puff pastry and place on a baking sheet.

Beat egg in a small dish and brush generously over pastry. Bake until pastry is golden brown and puffed, about 20 minutes. Serve with mustard, barbeque sauce, or jam, if desired.

Thank you Mrs. Paula for sharing this recipe. I've try the ones with Pillsbury rolls, but this one sounds lighter. Have a wonderful day.

My 10 year old and I love to watch your show, she likes it so much that I even catch her watching it by herself in her room!! It is so cute when she runs to the living room during a commercial to tell me about something that you are cooking!! I love to cook and have tried to instill a love for cooking in my children...thank you for helping to inspire my youngest!!

These are good! For years now I've bought the 4 pack of canned biscuits - you get 40 - and a pk of lil smokies. Dab some mustard on each biscuit, top with a strip of cheese, roll the smokie up and bake as can directions say. When Lorena Bobbitt took her famous action against Mr. Bobbitt, my ornery kids nicknamed these "Bobbitt Buns" - the name stuck and now I don't know what they were really called!!
