Servings: 9 servings
Prep Time: 15 min
Cook Time: 10 min
Difficulty: Easy
12 slices white bread
8 large slices ham
4 bananas sliced on the bias
2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 cup crushed potato chips
6 slices cooked and crumbled bacon
1 cup cream
1 cup milk
4 large eggs
pinch freshly grated nutmeg
salt and pepper
butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a 9x13 glass baking dish. Butter both sides of the bread and layer 6 of them into the bottom of the baking dish, overlapping them as necessary but keep them even. Layer the slices of ham on top of the bread and then the bananas, 6 more slice of bread, then the cheese, potato chips and bacon. In a separate bowl beat together the eggs, milk, cream, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Pour this over the casserole almost to the top. Bake for 45 minutes until brown and bubbly. Cut into squares and remove with a spatula, like lasagna.

I saw Paula make cheezy, ham banana caserole and I had to try it. It didn't taste as good as she made it look. I would give it 2 stars. But I love Paula.

I made this recipe and didn't care for it. Sometimes you can't like all of them!

I and my husband saw you make this casserole a couple of years ago. He was watching it on his TV and I on mine. He said, did you see Paula made a Banana Casserole. I told him I was watching it also and that I want to try it. He said I do too! So we got up and went to the store and got the ingredients. We made it I liked it and he wasn't for sure.

This recipe looked interesting when I saw Paula make this. I was a little worried about making something with ham and bananas. I would not recommend this recipe, I did not think that is tasted good.
