Cedar Salmon with Wasabi Dip

Ingredients Add to grocery list

1 clean 10 by 20-inch food-safe cedar board, soaked in water for at least 4 hours
1 side salmon
Vegetable oil

Wasabi Dip
1 tablespoon wasabi powder (can be found in most grocery stores)
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Coarse salt

Directions

Prepare charcoal fire. Rub cedar board with oil. Place salmon on the cedar board and cook on hot grill for about 12 minutes. For inside cooking, put the board on a large griddle or bake in a 400 degrees F oven for 12 minutes.

Wasabi Dip
Reconstitute wasabi powder with 1 tablespoon of water to form a paste and set aside. Whip cream with a mixer until soft peaks form. Fold in the wasabi paste and lemon juice; salt, to taste. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Paula: There is a Wasabi dip that you made that was made with sour cream, chopped onion and wasabi along with some seasoning. I would appreciate the recipe as I made it that same evening and ate the whole bowl as dip for shrimp. I lost the recipe!!!! Please show it again!!!!! Or send me the recipe!!!!! I don't have to tell you how much I loved it!!! Thank you so very much for your wonderful southern cookin! My family is from Ky. and I cook Paula Style!!!! Dian
