Servings: 6 to 8 servings
Prep Time: 15 min
Difficulty: Easy
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes
2 tablespoon white vinegar
8 ounce sharp Cheddar cheese, cut into very small chunks
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
1/2 cup chopped red onion
6-8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1 head broccoli

We love your broccoli salad! However, your recipe instructions say to add the halved cherry tomatoes to the "dressing". Is this correct or should they be added to the broccoli mix? (probably really does not matter) This is the very best broccoli salad I've ever had!

We attended a family reunion this Father's Day at Sardis MS. Someone brought a totally awesome salad. I had to wait until almost everyone left to see who the container belonged to. They had prepared your Broccoli Salad, but added cauliflower. It was a big hit, even with the kids. Thanks for another wonderful recipe. We stay at Harrah's in Tunica, because your restaurant is located there. We always pig out!

A friend gave me one of your recipes and I don't think it is complete. It is a salad with cauliflower, romane lettuce, parmesian cheese, red onions & bell pepper. It is layered, add dressing and mix. Mine doesn't taste the same as her's did and I cannot find the recipe on your site. Can you help me with at least the name of this salad? Thanks Georgie

I made this using smoked cheddar cheese! Because the smoked cheese has a stronger flavor I only used about 5-6 oz. Everyone loved it!

Very good recipe. However we don't like the cherry tomatoes in it. My variation is add 1/4 cup dry roasted sunflower seeds, 1/4 cup raisins and 1/4 cup dried cranberries. Yummy.
