I grew up making the berry dumplins' with my grandma. We made it out of blackberries! Grandma's gone, daddy & momma are gone but I'm still making blackberry dumplins for the family!

This can also be substituted with peaches. Tomorrow I am going to mix it up with 2 parts peaches and 1 part blueberries!

I found this recipe by complete accident!! As I was looking for a recipe for Black Raspberry Dumplings. My grandmother used to make them special for me and I want to do the same for my granddaughter!! This recipe is nearly the same as the one my Grandmother used only with raspberries. So many wonderful memories out picking wild raspberries with my grandmother and then she whipping up raspberry dumplings!! The blueberry dumplings with ice cream is soooooooooo yum!!

Paula: We're blueberry lovers as well. For Father's Day, I made strawberry/blueberry ice cream in my little freezer while I was gathering everything for blueberry dumplings. I want you to know that my husband, who's not to keen on "rich/sweet" foods, had him a good time after getting a taste of those blueberry dumplings. He said he would try on his ice-cream later 'cause it was too good right out of the pot! This one's a winner.

This recipe is delicious! My family and I are not big fans of blueberries but we have planted quite a few of the trees over the past couple of years so we are having to find recipes to use them in. This recipe was simple and easy to make. It is also a great way to add smiles for a leftover dinner

I have cooked this recipe several times for my husband. It is easy and quick. My husband love the buttery taste from the dumplings. I love watching him eat this dessert, he's like a kid in a candy store...can't decide which dumpling to eat next.
