I'm going to try this it seems that's a great recipe

I tried it and I had to add a lot more pinapple and ice. For my taste, it had too much banana. My mom loved it though.

I have to say I was NOT that fond of this recipe. Specifically, while there was nothing "bad" about it, it did NOT taste like a true "pina colada" flavor. In fact, I don't believe any pina colada I've ever had even contained a BANANA. I think that was the part that rather turned me off. It's more of a "tropical" smoothie than a true pina colada. As I said, nothing inherently wrong, just not the taste I was expecting.

Tasted like banana and kind of pineapple, no coconut taste.

Paula, can I meet you one day? You are my hero. And this smoothie reminds me of when I was little. My house was known as the "Pina Colada House' by all our friends!

Very good. I added a cup of vanilla yogurt to the mix and some coconut rum for my serving.

I just made this for me and my two boys (ages 2 & 4) and they loved it (no surprise!). We called it a pineapple smoothie.
I used vanilla coconut milk and left out the honey. I calculated the calories for serving 3 (approx. 8 oz per person) and it is just 93 calories each - a great mid morning snack for anyone!

@ Brooke Gardner ....please grow up and function in the real world!! You can control what you do, say, and expose your children to but, please refrain from telling the world how you would like it to be! Call it what you want it to be, a pina colada or pineapple smoothie!! You need to pick up a book and improve your mind rather than surf the net looking to pass judgements!!!! He who lives in glass houses......now go back under your rock and stay there!!

Oh my Dear Paula this sounds so yummy, I'm just gonna have to try it for my afternoon snack. I'd do it right now but my hubby is taking a little nap and wouldn't want to wake him with the noise of the blender. Oh and Paula, THANK YOU for being who you are! Love your shows and your cookbooks.
