Don’t you have anyone at all to share a room with?? It would be so much more fun for you. And it may cost you more to have a single room, I’m not sure. I sure hope you can go, and not be sick and have a wonderful time!

I have some people in mind, but not sure if they could go..My DH wouldn’t be able to go (would rather me to go) because the children will have school and one of us would have to stay home. I did see that the cost of one was almost the price if 2 were going to go, so it would make since to find someone to go..problem is that is a hard time for friends and family to get off work, considering the holidays. I think I am the only one that doesn’t work and would want to spend a “fortune” to go on a cruise.
You should call the travel agency. Maybe they have some ladies in the same position…looking for a cabinmate. I’m sure you can screen them. How bad can a Paula Deen fan be? lol

I have heard it both ways..some with sea sick was fine and some were not, I guess it just depends.
My mom gets motion sickness really easily. On our last cruise she took a Dramamine every morning, and she was good to go! I wouldn’t let the fear of getting sick stop you, because you can prevent it.

That was what I have heard! I hope I can go. Are you going again this year? I am trying to find out about all info on the $$ part..does it have to all be paid at one time. I have emailed them, but haven’t heard back yet.

We’re both in our late 20’s, so we want to travel as much as we can before it’s time to settle down with children.
I would assume that you could split up the payments, but I’m not sure. I haven’t spoken to anyone with the agency yet. I’m hoping Phil can get us a better rate before I try to book! No pressure, Phil!

That would be good! That is the problem I keep running into with asking people to go with me. I have asked a few and they just can’t swing it. It may just be me solo. I am in late 20’s and NEED to get away after having children HAHA!! I am still waiting on the email I had sent the travel agency for some questions I had. I was so excited about the next Paula Cookin as Sea cruise for January 2010. Unfortunatly, my husband lost his job and with only one income
we will be unable to participate. This is extremely disappointing for me since I had so much fun on the second cruise aboard the Liberty of the Seas!
For those that can afford it, I say—BOOK THE CRUISE!!! You will have the time of your life and you will have those memories forever. Happy cruising!!
I am sooo sorry to hear that Orlando…I am sure a lot of us are hating that we can’t afford to go..it is just sooooo expensive, especially during these hard times. I still have my fingers crossed that in some way I may be able to join the clan. I am sure it would be an experience of a lifetime.

If we can’t make the cruise we will head to Miami Beach in February for the Food show that Paula attends. It’s just a short drive for us. Oh darn it looks like I have to go to Savannah next month for work so I will be able to go to Lady & Sons and also visit Uncle Bubba’s restaurant. Keep me posted and I hope you can go!!

You will have plenty of opportunities to mingle with Paula. My husband and I went on the 2nd cruise which was in 2007, we saw Paula and the boys in May 2009 and the boys still remembered my husband. I was able to get pictures with everyone. If you have the chance to go I would definately go for it, you will have a great time.
