I recently ate egg salad for the first time and really liked it. I’m not having any luck finding a recipe. Does anyone have a good egg salad recipe? Seems like I remember seeing an episode where Jamie was on and talked about making egg salad. I would love to have that recipe if anyone happens to know it. (Hint Hint, Phil & PPTP)

I remember from holidays back at home that people would make a delicious dessert. It was layered in a glass baking dish usually and had chocolate pudding, graham cracker, I think whip cream and maybe some other stuff. It was always so delicious and I want to make it but I don’t even know what its called. Can some of you please tell me what you think and possibly provide a recipe?

when i make buttermilk or regular milk biscuits, i normally roll out my leftover dough and cut more biscuits from it..my grandmother mentioned that her mother used leftover dough to make hoe cakes for breakfast the next day, however, she doesn’t remember how they were made..could anyone help me with this? although i’ve grown up in the south, i haven’t had the privilege of tasting them or of finding a recipe..from what i hear, they are a delight..

Honestly, reading your responses is like a walk down memory lane…I think I’ve made almost all of the ones you folks remember fondly. The one exception? Lemon Blossoms. I saw it on TV, got the recipe off the Food Network website and have had it in my “to be tried” folder ever since. Every time I come across it, I think “YUM” but still haven’t tried it.

A couple of our favorites that haven’t been mentioned yet: We love the Gooey Toffee Butter cake and from her book on celebrations, the bacon, parmesan cheese and captain’s wafer appetizers—can’t remember what they are called. They are TO DIE FOR!!! But of course, all her recipes are. I only made one that we were disappointed in, some kind of pasta shells stuffed with meat and spinach. They were just OK, at least to my Ozark tastebuds. All the rest have been fabulous!

Don’t know how I missed the peppermint cake ya’ll are talking about, but if someone can steer me to it, I’d be grateful!

Need Simple Bread Pudding Recipe

Hello! I have never had bread pudding but my hubby loves it. I have searched and found so many different variations. So many different breads used with crusts off and on. Confusing! Plus, some come out dry looking and others gooey. Although, Auntie Paula’s chocolate bread pudding looks yummy, I want to start off with a very simple basic bread pudding recipe. I’d like to get my “feet wet” with that and then expand from there providing the hubby prefers me to stay with what works. What is a true bread pudding supposed to come out like? taste? texture? If anyone can help with a basic simple bread pudding recipe, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

How to Cook Fresh Lady Peas?

I just can’t seem to match the older women - or maybe it is just psychological.
Here’s how I’ve BEEN cooking them:

Cook peas in plenty of broth & maybe some bacon -
Bring to a Boil & then simmer up 45 min to an hour. is this too long for the little lady peas?

They just don’t taste that great! Any advice from some great cooks out there?

AND, I’ve got to transport these on T’giving…...... Do i xport in just my corningware w/lid? or should I transfer to a pretty bowl? or do both, transferring to pretty bowl when we get there? What is the right temp to serve them at?

HELP?! and THANKS!
