Sammie, Sambone, The Saminator, Submarine, Hoagie, Finger, Dagwood, Horeshoe, Hot Brown, Muffuletta, Tea, Panini, Cheese Steak, Po’ Boy, Reuben, Runza…(me taking a breath). I could go on and on and on, but I’m getting hungry just thinking about all the crazy great sandwiches we are featuring this week on PaulaDeen.com.

I don’t have a kid going back to school (praise Jesus), but somehow this time of year gets me thinking about sandwiches. Paula too. She actually made us both one of the best egg salad sandwiches I’ve ever sunk my teeth into yesterday at her home. I don’t know if it was the bread (toasted of course) or the fresh eggs from her chickens that were perfectly boiled, but that egg salad was soooo stinking good! When Michael declined having one I couldn’t help but ask why…after all, I’ve NEVER seen Michael turn down food before. Apparently, the chickens are producing more eggs than Paula and Michael can keep up with! He said he was going to grow feathers if he had to eat another Egg Salad Sandwich! Lucky for me, because Paula sent me home with a bowl full!
