Crab Stuffed Flounder Filet Recipe by Paula Deen

  • 4 flounder fillets
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeño, diced
  • 8 sliced bacon
  • 1 pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 pinch pepper, to taste
  • 2 crab claws


Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°. Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Crack crab claws, pick shells out of meat and dry with paper towels.

Step 2

In a medium bowl add cream cheese, butter, garlic, crab and jalapeño, mix well.

Step 3

Spoon 1/4 of the cream cheese mixture onto each flounder filet and roll.

Step 4

Wrap each rolled filet with 2 pieces of bacon and secure with toothpicks. Add fish to preheated cast iron skillet, and place in a 400° oven for 8-10 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
