Sausage and Bacon Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 4 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1/2 diced onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 12 freshly baked (use your favorite recipe or you can use store-bought) biscuits

Directions

In a large skillet, combine sausage, bacon, onion and garlic. Cook over medium heat, until sausage is browned and crumbles. Stir in flour, salt and pepper; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually stir in half and half. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture is thickened. Stir in butter.
