  • 2 to 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 can French onion soup mix
  • 1 medium onion, cut into rings
  • mayonnaise
  • yellow mustard
  • hamburger buns, whole wheat or white

Brown ground beef and drain. Sprinkle in the flour. Add onion soup, stir and cook until meat mixture is thickened and most of the liquid is absorbed.

Spread mustard and mayonnaise, to taste, on bread. Spoon the ground beef mixture onto bread and top with onion.

Very tasty!!! I

Very tasty!!! I used a can of Campbell's French Onion Soup after adding the 3 tablespoons of flour. It was thick and wonderful. I did not use mayo...just a little mustard and it was perfect! I highly recommend this recipe :)

I've been making

I've been making these since I saw Paula make them on her show when she was still on The Food Network. It is a can of French Onion Soup in this recipe. There isn't too much liquid for the recipe as you cook it until most of the liquid is absorbed. They are sooooo good!

Really good flav

Really good flavor, but the directions are a little confusing. It says "1 can of onion soup mix". I realize that a prepared pack is too much liquid. I ended up adding a packet of mix and about .5-1 cups of water. Still tasted awesome!
