Ms. Deen: Recently Wal-Mart was selling you cookware at a very low price because of the "controversy". I really did not need cookware at the time but bought it because of what happened to you-it was wrong. I am 60 years old and if anyone close to my age was asked if they had ever used the "n" word and they said no, they would be lying and we all know it. Because you told the truth you were punished and that was totally unfair. I do want you to know that even though I really did not need cookware when I purchased it I LOVE it and now use it all the time over my other cookware. I am not in the habit of writing celebrities (I'm really too old for that) I wanted you to know that I have a lot of respect for you and am very sorry you have had to suffer the back lash you have. I believe you have a true heart and did not deserve what happened to you. Good luck in your future. Karen

Had a Paula Deen recipe for a very easy chicken on a stick. It was marinated in Italian Dressing and meat tenderizer. I lost my copy, can you send it to me. I got it off the Internet. It was easy and very delicious. Brought it to a picnic and they could not get enough. Please help! Thanks!

When I married my loving husband 36 yrs. ago tomorrow (8/9), I never dreamed of cooking with bacon drippings. He begged me to save the drippings. So I did. Then one Sunday for our Lunch meal, I wanted to make Fried Chicken. He asked me if I still had the bacon drippings? I said I did. He then asked me to fry the Chicken in it after dredging it in flour. I kinda rolled up my nose, thinking that sounded gross. I was only 18 yrs.old. We had a wonderful meal. Later on I was asked to pop popcorn(the old fashion way!) in it & fry potatoes too. The bacon drippings give these foods the best flavor. I'm so glad I married this wonderful & caring man not TOO long ago! He's the LOVE of my Life!

Paula, I just had to share this with you ! I was diagnosed with an ulcer last week - I havent been able to eat much, in fact, even looking at food made me sick to my stomach. I know if you dont eat, you get MORE stomach acid, which is not good for ulcers. So yesterday morning, I made a batch of your biscuits with the sour cream and buttermik and butter and flour cause I LOVE those ! I was able to eat 1 yesterday and 2 today, yay ! Your biscuits saved me from starving to death lol. ANd my stomach feels better today too. I watch your show everyday and suscribe to your magzzine, you're the best !

My favorite way to cook chicken. Place in glass 9 x 9 baking dish that has a little shmeer of bacon grease on it (a LITTLE). Place chicken skin side up in dish. Dot each piece with a little BUTTER. Shake on top garlic powder, seasoned salt, and pepper. Sprinkle lightly with juice of a lemon. Bake at 350 for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. I like thighs the best (after all I'm a leg man). Serve with Armenian Rice Pilaf. Mmmm. Paula, you're the best. xoxo

Add a few spoonfuls of parmesan cheese to the flour and cornmeal breading and it kicks the tomatoes up another notch. Bev
