Happy Birthday Son!

Y’all, I can’t believe my baby is turning 40 this week. I look at him and he’s still that dark eyed boy with a great baseball arm and the sweetest smile I’ve ever seen. I can’t think about him turning 40 because that will make me feel as old as the hills. I prefer to say he is just turning 21. I can’t say for sure, but I think he might prefer that too. This year we’ll have an extra special celebration, but some things will always be the same. I’ll make him his favorite meal of Goulash, Blueberry Salad (something he added as he got older), a big side of homemade French Fries and the one sweet treat he indulges in each year…Caramel Cake. Sometimes I do it up right and do all the seven layers. Sometimes I get lazy and only do a few layers. It all tastes the same, but in honor of such a big year, I’ll go ahead and make him one with all the layers. After all, he deserves it. Happy Birthday son, I love you, I’m so proud of you and I’m real proud to be your momma.

I want to wish Bobby a "Very Happy Birthday". I watch all your TV Shows on Food Network and subscribe to your magazine. Love them all. Next summer I plan on a trip to Georgia and would so very much like to meet Paula and her sons. I'm 75 years young and would make the trip with my daughtes. My husband promised me the trip some day but he passed away two months ago after being ill for a long time, and so my daughters said they would take me in his place. I would truly love to meet Paula, and eat at her restaurant. Thank you!

Hi Bobby, Happy belated birthday. I know it was a happy one. You seem to have the same kind of humor as your mother and that is wonderful. And Bobby, to me, at 83, 40 is just the beginning. Bobby I wish you a long life and a happy one. God bless you and the Deen-Gruber family. I hope I spelled the name right. Marilyn

I know you had a great birthday Bobby.  I saw the video.  I said in an earlier message that April 29 is my husband’s birhday.  I did cook him a great giant pot of your momma’s chicken & dumplings and I used her lemon cheesecake recipe!  Well that man ate 3 heaping bowls of chicken & dumplings and said they were perfect.  I gave all the credit to your momma!  He loved the lemon cheesecake, first one I ever fixed.  That man rather have this meal than a steak dinner!

Happy Birthday, Bobby. You and your family have blessed so many people’s lives. Thank you for sharing your family with the rest of us.

I have a son named Bobby who is turning 18 in a few months. He’s dark-eyed and brown hair, too and has a terrific personality.  He keeps telling me to start my own food business…I told him only if you stick around and help me….Who knows what will happen after he is all finished with college?

God Bless
Anita
