I just want to apologize for the way America and the Food Channel has treated you in this situation. I know that racial issues are tricky at best. I have been thru a lot of these issues myself. I am from Texas and have always been a southern bell if you will. I have had a black woman as a business partner. We addressed the elephant in the room every day it seems. Question: did I ever use the "N" word......yes I did, when she acted like one. Did she want me as a partner because I was white? Yes! Like I said we were in a position to address the issues in a completely honest and forthcoming. I was called an untitled white woman several times a day. To the point that I would prove that I was. I could get a lot more accomplished in negotiations than she ever could, just from perception. Truth is she was a lot smarter than I ever hoped to be, and I ain't no slouch myself. We just recognized it for what it is and we're happy with how we coped with it, how we took advantage of it. I wish that the media and the rest of the world would just step back and take a breath.....and live for a moment in the other parties shoes. On a lighter note, I am a huge fan. I took my Mother on a road trip before she passed away, and of coarse we had to hit Savannah and eat at your restaurant and Bubba's. we thoroughly enjoyed both! I found Savannah to be absolutely charming. I can't wait to visit again. Which hopefully soon, as I am moving to Columbus S Carolina by the end of 2013. Looking forward to my visits . I enjoy Amanda at Dixie Delights. I spend a lot of time at home due to caring for an ill relative. When I was out more, I would visit friends, get ideas for decorating and projects. Amanda's blogging fills that spot. She is like having a neighbor that I can visit without leaving home. I think that her blog old be an asset to your grouping of blogs. Thanks for everything you do and offer.

Well, when I say "seems it is what I am meant to do" - let me say that at least it is one of the things in life that brings me a lot of happiness! I'm sure you other writers feel the same way. Has anyone heard when the announcement will be?

Paula, I am glad to know that I am not the only person who makes Easter Baskets for their adult children and mail them across the United States. My Daughter lives in Long Beach, CA and I not only sent her a basket but her husband and my granddaughter Reese. We also buy special Russel Stover Bunnies for each child too. My husband has the list in his phone... Sara .. Cookies 'n Crème.... Sidney and Stephen.. Peanut Butter Etc. It one of my favorite things to do for my kids.. no matter how old they get. And passing it along to my Grandchildren. It's even more special to me knowing we share a family tradition. Blessings and Happy Easter!!
