Thank you for the excellent recipes you have shared with us on Facebook. With the macaroon recipe do you beat the cream of tartar with the egg whites?

Paula, there is NO ONE I repeat NO ONE who can cook and also be as friendly as you in the process. I'd pick you from among all cooks, except your sons, probably. I have one of your cook books on my eating table lots of the time. I wish I could meet you in person we would have lots to talk about since I love to cook too. In the past I used to knead bread, bake éclairs, processing canned foods from an acre garden, freezing garden foods, I could go on and on. thank you for these 9 recipes. Love you and your sons, Janice Valentine

Love all your recipes. Have all your books, my daughter even got me a autograph one by you in Austin Texas. She stood in line for a hour to get it for me for Christmas I was so surprised. She knows I'm such a fan of your. Jan 1 I start my 1600 calorie diet, to try and loose at least 60 lbs. I'm a big baker and love my sweets which as you found out isn't good for you when you reach a certain age your body isn't the same as when your younger. So now only in moderation. But for me for a while is 0. Any suggestions would be great, I see you have lost weight and look good. Keep up the good work. Have a Great Holiday. Hugs and kisses from my house to yours.

You are my all-time favorite. I feel like you are "family" and it would be a joy to sit down with a cup of coffee and visit awhile. I grew up in Virginia and although I find myself living in Ohio for many years my heart is still "down home". May God bless you and your family especially those dear sons. They sure treat their mother with love and respect and that does the heart good to see.

Paula, I am glad to know that I am not the only person who makes Easter Baskets for their adult children and mail them across the United States. My Daughter lives in Long Beach, CA and I not only sent her a basket but her husband and my granddaughter Reese. We also buy special Russel Stover Bunnies for each child too. My husband has the list in his phone... Sara .. Cookies 'n Crème.... Sidney and Stephen.. Peanut Butter Etc. It one of my favorite things to do for my kids.. no matter how old they get. And passing it along to my Grandchildren. It's even more special to me knowing we share a family tradition. Blessings and Happy Easter!!
