It’s that time of year! The final weeks of peach season in Georgia.
This year, peach farms across the state are reporting some of the best tasting and plentiful crops in years. The winter chill ours needed to help the peaches grow to their optimum size and best flavor were perfect. And our Georgia spring has also been mild and wet enough to bring just the right amount of nourishing rain to grow the juiciest and sweetest varieties.
Now is the time to make the best of this perfect peach season. Try one of Paula’s top twenty favorite peach recipes today!

Well Georgia Girls! We have the BEST Freestone peaches coming off in our area now. My favorite guarenteed to impress the men recipe is one I made up myself. Following the old adage “Keep it Simple Stu___”!
Lay pie crust in a 12” pie plate making sure it is
at least 18” in diameter. Fill with sliced peaches, cinnamon, nutmeg, chopped walnuts,a little
sugar, (little cuz we are so… sweet already!)
dot with butter. Fold crust over the top from the sides, leave center open to create a “rustic” pie look. Brush crust with butter and sprinkle sugar on top of crust, then bake at 375. It turns out so
pretty when you use freestone peaches the center exposed is red, yellow and looks good enough to eat! Love from California, Loral Thompson
