Timesaving Slow Cooker Recipes

There is no limit to the type of food that can be cooked in a slow cooker—dips, sides, entrees, even desserts! Winter weather is perfect for crock pot meals, not to mention, this is the time of year when we’re all scraping the bottom of the “free-time” barrel. Easy, quick-prep meals are the best when you’re in a bind. So this holiday season, just set it and forget it with our favorite slow cooker recipes.

Hearty Main Dishes
Fall and winter are great seasons for ribs. But if you don’t want to brave the cold and stand by the grill for hours (believe us, we don’t either) try Slow Cooker Beef Short Ribs or Slow Cooker Pork Spare Ribs. They’re still rich and flavorful and go great with with Slow Cooker Pinto Beans or Creamy Macaroni and Cheese (also made in a slow cooker).

Soups ‘n Stews Aplenty!
Soups and stews are so comforting in the winter months. Try Slow Cooker Apple Onion Soup with Cinnamon Cheese Toast, Slow Cooker Smoked Sausage and Sauerkraut Soup , or Slow Cooker Harvest Stew . You can prep all of these soups in under 20 minutes!

Slow Cooker Changeups
If you’re tired of your crock pot staples, we’ve got some great suggestions. Shrimp Creole is easy and full of flavor. Slow Cooker Orange Rosemary Chicken takes only 15 minutes to prep. If you’re in the mood for a sweet and savory entrée, try Slow Cooker Apricot Glazed Pork Tenderloin; cooking it in a slow cooker keeps it moist and tender. Slow Cooker Pulled Pickled Beef Sandwiches are super easy and full of flavor. They’re great hot, or make them ahead and serve them chilled.

Don’t forget that your family’s classic favorites can also be cooked in a crock pot! Try Pot Roast or Slow Cooker Cheese Stuffed Meatballs and Sauce for an easier-than-usual execution.

Paula .... Love all of your recipes. Have made the apple cake several times and it is wonderful. My reason for writing is to tell you how much I enjoyed meeting Bobby at his book signing in Charlotte on Wednesday. He is adorable ..... though he doesn't look like you, he does have your personality. But, most of all, he started out by saying "I love my Mama" which I know you have heard many times but that one statement impressed me so much and told me a lot about his character. I can understand why you are so proud of your boys and the fact that they give you credit for everything the Deens have accomplished is something to be proud of. Love Bobby's book and can't wait to try some of his recipes. You are truly a beautiful family.
