The sandwiches are a good idea. Raw onion on a sandwich made for a young person? Grade school? Junior or high school? Not practical. What's with that Paula? You are a Mom. Did you make sandwiches like this for your boys when they were in school with a generous portion of raw onion on them? Sincerely, Ann Lawrence, Greenville SC

Wow...are you still allowed to send peanut butter to schools? It is completely band in Canada - no schools allow any nut products. It makes things a bit difficult when you have a picky eater that just happens to love all nuts and seeds. Love your recipes, Niki

Hi Paula! Great article! I am always having trouble figuring out what to send my son for school lunches. They are not allowed to bring anything with nuts, and on top of that.. my son is on a low sodium diet because of his heart. I am finding it extremely difficult to come up with fun sandwich ideas that don't involve peanut butter or too much sodium. Do you have any ideas that could help me? Anything is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Paula you are my hero. I'm so proud of the way you put that arrogant Yankee Carpetbagger in his place. From one southern girl to another- "You Go Girl". He wouldn't know good cooking if it flew up and hit him square in the face. He'd better watch his P's & Q's. You've got couple of big ole son's who could easily open up a can of woop a$$ on him. Love you Paula.

How about a recipe for a better world? My friend, an AWESOME, teacher, posted this and who better to share with moms and kids of America but you! Special request to all kids returning to school in the next few days: If you see someone who is struggling to make friends or being bullied because he/she doesn't have many friends or because they are shy or not as pretty or not dressed in the most "in" clothes -PLEASE step up. Say hi or at least smile at them in the hallway. You never know what that person might be facing outside of school. Your kindness might just make a BIG difference in someone's life! PLEASE RE-POST FOR OUR CHILDREN
