Everyone’s got a little bit of a sweet tooth, especially this time of year! With the cooler weather behind us, it’s time to grab those picnic baskets and load up with a sweet treat to enjoy with your friends while you sit back and enjoy all of the budding flowers that are popping up. Who doesn’t love a thick slice of a pound cake, drizzled with strawberries? Or maybe you’ll have a nice, bright lemon bar. Whatever your spring sweet of choice may be, here are some of Paula’s favorite recipes to get you started!
1. Orange Citrus Bars
These gooey citrus bars are like biting into a sweet piece of sunshine. They’re so flavorful, you’ll have a hard time eating just one.
2. Southwest Georgia Pound Cake
Of all of Paula’s pound cake recipes, this is definitely one of her favorites. Bring it to a family dinner, or church social. You’ll be the talk of the evening!
3. Salted Caramel Brownies
There’s a chocolate lover in all of us, and these brownies are sure to please any chocolate craving you might have. The salted caramel topping is a little bit of a surprise to keep your taste buds guessing.
4. Pina Colada Smoothie
Looking for a vacation in a cup? Take a big gulp of this smoothie, and you’ve found it! Made with fruit and honey, it’s a cinch to make as well.
5. Old-Fashioned Cupcakes
Anytime is time for a cupcake! Paula’s friend Cheryl makes these old-fashioned cupcakes in her bakery in Savannah, and now you can make them too.
6. Lemon Bars
Who doesn’t love a sweet and tangy lemon bar? Pack these for a perfect picnic make and you might just skip the sandwiches.
7. Cream Cheese Pound Cake with Grilled Plums
On a warmer evening, try this pound cake with grilled plums. Serve it with a little bit of honey on the side, and garnish with mint and it’s home run!

One day I was watching your best friend and you make scones. I taped the show because I wanted to make these. Your friend added something and did not say what it was she added. It was in a measuring spoon not a cup. Can I please have this full recipe. I looked on your website and could not find it. This was an old recipe she had in a cook book.
