Paula learned a new cooking trick we thought we would share! With the test kitchen summer herb garden growing in full force, Paula decided she would freeze some of her herbs this year to savor them all year long.
The results are these neat herb olive oil cubes. Wondering how we’ve been using them? Well just throw one into a hot skillet and let the cube melt. While the oil warms, the herbs infuse the oil leaving a delicious fresh flavor.
We’ve had good results making a simple summery sauce by combining halved cherry tomatoes with the hot herb oil in a skillet, stirring together over medium heat until saucy, then tossing through with spaghetti. We’re licking our lips just thinking about it!
