How does color make YOU feel? This wild example sums it up for me:
“An executive for a paint company received complaints from workers in a blue office that the office was too cold. When the offices were painted a warm peach, the sweaters came off even though the temperature had not changed.” – Pantone
I absolutely love color. I love the way a bright peony shirt can cheer me up on a rainy day, or how the soft blue walls of my living room make me comfy relaxing at home when I’m not running on the road.
So when I was asked to start thinking about what I wanted the Paula Deen Brand to look like, I knew almost instantly that color would play a major role. And I knew that it had to look like Savannah. This city is truly a magical place (come visit!). It really does have it’s own sense of style. From the hanging Spanish moss dripping from the live oak trees, to the beautiful marsh views, you can’t help but fall in love with this place. And the beautiful colors are such an important part of that magic.
Just take a look for yourself at all of the wonderful colors you can find. I hope that y’all can see just how Savannah speaks to me, and maybe it will speak to you too.
Here’s a perfect example of the lush greens. The streets of downtown Savannah are lined with so many interesting, and beautiful historic homes, each a unique color. See how the foliage almost reaches out to welcome you inside?
A warm, rich chocolate brown is so prevalent is this area. It kind of reminds of a fudge, or a decadent chocolate cake.
In Savannah, the one thing you won’t see much of is white. Instead, most things are a rich cream color, almost like the most delicious Bavarian cream.
In addition to the gorgeous greens of the mosses, if you haven’t been able to tell already, Savannah is all laced up with gorgeous ironwork. Savannah sometimes appears to be all painted up with scrolling calligraphy.

Paula, We dine at your buffet in Tunica often and enjoy the food and atmosphere tremendously! I request the paint colors used in every room, drape fabric and vinyl seat covering information if possible. All the colors are so soft and happy! I understand the dinnerware is Gayle Pittman which is so lovely! The bird cage room is so awesome, very cleaver!!! Thanks for providing something unique, different and truly southern to this area and the world! At least our southern culture is recognized with praise due to all your special talents! Thanks for all your hard, diligent work! Phyllis Akins

Paula, I record most of your shows but I am watching the one on Mexican food now and I am one of those Mexican food lovers too. My Husband says that I could eat it 7 days a week 3 times a day and He is right.Everytime He ask me where I want to eat I say Mexican and he fusses and I tell Him why ask when you know what I will say. Jamie's taco dip looks wonderful. If you ever need a Mexican taste tester I am here for you. I love your recipes.

I know what color can do to a person, Like u said Paula some colors remind u of food. I have been to New orleans and know that beautiful ironwork and the colors of moss on tree, In the dead of winter, bringing in some spring flowers or colors do make one feel less depressed . Colors can bring back memories of a special childhood or a trip or just make u feel comfortable inside. I look at the blues in the ocean and the white sand on the beaches and they give a colming feeling . We don;t realize how much our world of color effects us and our moods. Thanks Paula

Paula,I love all the color's for the outside of the home but my home is brick outside.Give us some idea's for the inside. When I was at your home in October of last year I loved the colors you used on the inside.I can't make up my mind what I want to use and where. The kitchen cabinets were my favorite.I want to change the color to the color you have I'm trying to figure out the best way to do it.Me or get someone else to do it.The floor's were beautiful.I got so many idea's.I can't wait to make the changes.I'll let you know how they turn out.I wish I had Brandon to help me.He did a great job with the new house.Blessings to you and your family.Mary
