Paula’s Chickens

I have been wantin’ chickens for the last two years…and all my life. Those who spend much time around me know I always say when I retire I want to sell eggs out of an old truck on the side of the road. Since I live on a road where people are headin’ out to the beach, I don’t really know what those folks would want with a dozen fresh eggs getting hot in the back seat, but that doesn’t matter. It’s what I’ve been dreaming about. Well y’all, I’m tickled pink to be telling you my dream might just be becoming a reality. I got myself some rescue chickens a couple of months ago. Now, if I can just get these girls to start laying more eggs. I wanted y’all to see my sassy new chicken coop, so I asked Jamie Prescott to shoot this video.  I’m happy to report to y’all that since then, the hens have been laying a lot more eggs. On Easter Sunday, I gathered 7 eggs! Enjoy the tour and I’ll keep you posted on how the girls are doing.

Paula, I didn't know your creamy Hot Coco was the same as I made for my boys when they were young. It is still their favorite and passing it along to their kids. By they way, my boys are now 41, 39 and 38. I wish I would have had the sense to turn what I did for them into an income.wink Sarah
