The Bethesda Home for Boys is one of my most treasured charities that I’m so blessed to be able to work with. Recently, they hosted a golf tournament in Savannah where professional athletes could come and play golf, and all of the proceeds would benefit the boys’ home. Well, what were the wives supposed to do while their husbands were out having a good time for a good cause?
That’s where I knew I could really make a difference by hosting a special Strawberry and Rhubarb Social at my house. Two of my wonderful team members, my Creative Director, Brandon Branch, and my Senior Food Editor, Libbie Summers as well as the rest of my Deen Team really showed these girls a good afternoon. I was heartbroken that I didn’t think I was going to be able to attend, but guess what y’all! Jamie, Bobby and I were able to surprise everyone at the end and I just loved being able to chat with all of these beautiful ladies. I heard that the golf tournament raised over $250,000 for the Bethesda Home for Boys, which just absolutely makes my heart sing!
It was a wonderful afternoon, and I’m so glad that I can share this video with y’all!
Wait, you didn’t think I’d forget to give those fabulous recipes to you did you? Of course not! Y’all can grab the recipes here.

Dear Miss Dean, I watch your show all the time, I love to cook, but do not have anything to cook with. When I married, I did not get a bridal shower. Miss Dean I was wondering, If there is anyway you can send me some of your favorite things to cook with? I would even take your old pots and pans... It is horrible the way I have to live, I can't seem to make ends meet for my son & myself mam', And buying all the stuff you cook with I just never seem to have enough money for it. I know you struggled all your life, and I know that you have to know what I am going threw.. It is very depressing. I think the world of you. I thank you for your Happy smiling face, you do light up the world, and make it a brighter place.. Your Fan, Gina Gibson

Love, love, love you Paula. My husband and I ate at the Lady and Sons in December 2007. The dining room was packed, but the hostess asked if we wanted to sit at the 'high tables'. Not knowing what they meant, Norm went back to find out. As long as we were in your restaurant, and eating your food, we didn't care what kind of table we sat at! Can't wait to go back again.

Brandon and Libby, the two of you are such a pleasure to watch! You made me giggle seeing you have so much fun together! The Strawberry Rhubarb Social looked like a ton of fun and I'm certain the ladies attending were treated to some really delicious food. I know I would have been all over those Strawberry Mojitos...yum! Paula, congratulations on raising over 250,000 for the Bethesda Home for Boys!
