On a recent show Paula went to the nut store to buy prelines and she went around and sampled the nuts then showed the sign that said NO SAMPLING and she continued to do so. This is a form of stealing and if everyone went into a store and took samples the store would go broke. I love Paula and this didn’t seem right to show she doesn’t have to follow the rules. I know she does good for the store so they don’t mind but it didn’t set a very good example for the public.

I made Paula’s chicken pot pie recipe only with leftover turkey, vegetables and gravy. Forgot to buy puff pastry, so I put a layer of cornbread oyster dressing (stuffing) on top of the vegetable/turkey mixture, poured gravy over that and topped it all off with leftover mashed potatoes. Baked at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Everyone said it’s the bomb!!!!!!!!

my left over turkey has always made Turkey Tetrazzini! I love it that I can freeze it and pop it into the oven anytime we gather together over the holidays, its great for unexpected company, hearty and filling and warming on a cold winters night!

Along with a great Turkey, Sausage, and Duck Gumbo it is also traditional to serve potatoe salad. So the next time you make gumbo, try making potatoe salad using sweet potatoes. Its great!!! And yes, you make it just like you normally would, eggs, mayo, relish and so on. You will love it and it is so much tastier!!! not to mention healthier. Bake sweet potatoes in oven, let cool, even overnight in fridge if ya wanna. Enjoy! Lesley
