If you are looking for country cooking then you know its not gonna be healthy. They have diabetic cook books if thats what your looking for. Dont blame anyone for your food choices. Go to the oprah interview im your chef not your doctor. Splenda is terrible for you. Look it up.

Paula, You are always so sweet and happy! But I just learned that you have diabetics,too! I know that is rough for you because you are so famous for your food. My family is some of that country from Arkansas and now that is country. Let me know how you are doing. I will never watch Paula Deen again (WAS MY FAVORITE COOKING SHOW). If she DONATED her talent to help other people this would be great. Instead she promoted bad eating habits for three years and now she is getting paid to be a Novo Nordisk spokesperson.

While I am disappointed that you chose to keep your diagnosis hidden, I can respect your right to privacy. Yes, you have always said things should be consumed in moderation, however; as a caretaker for my diabetic mother, shame on you for not providing more diabetic conscious recipes. Splenda, as you know, makes many forms of cooking and baking forms of its product. Why not remake some of your more popular recipes using those.

You are an older obese Type 2 Diabetic who makes money on your cookbooks that support "fattening" and unhealthy reciepes, and you say " Oh, its alright to eat this way in "moderation".
